Writing and Brisbane...

Rockclimber Jas tells me my personality really shines thru when i write, as i sent her a write up of my thoughts for a special project of mine (more details when it's done) but i dismissed it cos i don't have time to write. write what? no inspiration too. but yes jas, i love writing, it's an outlet, and sometimes, it doesn't need to be read... blogging well... it's still public. and i will not, or very very seldom, implicate someone else in my blog.

anywayz.. that's that... nothing much to write about there.

now to brisbane... met a couple today (jonathan and raine - woohoo same name!) who were interested in wedding photography (hey u come to the right person!) and also studied in brisbane. so we, or at least chatterbox me, couldn't stop talking (and thinking!) about brisbane. damn i spent at least 10 years there, of course i have so many memories. one that comes to mind...

one day after coffee at milton (park road), cheryl and i (just friends then, i was after her) were kinda twiddling our thumbs over coffee. i was vexed because i had this feeling that she didn't like me, but i just wouldn't give up. she was probably twiddling thumbs wondering why i liked her and why i wasn't giving up...

so i said let's go for a walk, so we walked along coronation drive by the river and was pretty much silent. prob a good time for an "ultimatum" but nope, we decided we walked far enuff, so let's walk back. you can actually walk for long distances in australia cos it's so cool, altho the mood was colder. so i couldn't take it anymore, i stopped, looked at her and asked her to hug me. she gave me this dumbfounded look and asked "why?"...

i was like... WTF? i can't remember what i said, it must have been to the effect of "no reason just thot it'd be nice" so she gave me the awkwardest hug in the world.

so prepare for the anti-climax.. i drove her home and went back feeling stupid.

many months later when we were already together, i asked her when she started liking me, or when she thought she'd like to be with me. she said it was when i awkwardly asked for a hug that night. i was like WTF (part 2).....??

i still have no idea what that was all about, but she was a great gf...

why is it that i remember all these?

i miss brisbane. jon and raine, let's go there to shoot lar, i'm sure u guys have your own love stories there, except yours ends (or starts, depending on how you look at it!) in marriage, whereas mine... er, yeah, nvm that... (anti-climax part 2)..

The sweetest kid I ever met at a wedding..

and.. i think i got a bad angle of her too!

she was always smiling, always obedient, and i got the bride's newphew ( a couple of years older than her) to pose with her and she was SO SHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!

ahah so sweeeeeeeeeeeet cannot take it. dammit, never thought i'd say this, but i wish i had a daughter like her!!!
